DACRIL RAPID is a multifilament, synthetic, absorbable, sterile suture made of a polymer of glycolic acid (PGA), degraded for quicker absorption. It is coated with calcium stearate and polycaprolactone, which reduce the capillary effect. The polyglycolic acid and covering layers are nonantigenic and nonpyrogenic and absorption elicits only a minimal tissue reaction.
The suture is beige (undyed) and it is available in various suture sizes and lengths.
DACRIL RAPID is available non-needled or attached to different types and sizes of stainless-steel needles.
MATERIAL:
Poliglycolic acid fast absorbable
STRUCTURE:
Multifilament braided
COATING :
Calcium stearate and polycaprolactone
THREAD COLOR :
Beige (Undyed)
SIZES USP (EP):
USP 5/0 (1 EP) - USP 2 (5 EP)
PROPERTIES :
Preserves more than 45% of the initial tensile strength after 7 days at 37 degrees C. Complete absorption occurs between 42-63 days post implantation.
